Dr. Sylvie Lorente
Sylvie Lorente is Professor (Exceptional Class) and Vice-President for Corporate Relations at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Toulouse, France. She is also Chair
Professor of Engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Honorary Professor at the Shandong Academy of Sciences (China), Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria
(South Africa), and Adjunct Professor at Duke University (USA). She is a member of the European Research Council.
Professor Lorente is the recipient of the Bergles-Rohsenow Heat Transfer award, the Obert Thermodynamics award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and
the James Hartnett award from the International Center of Heat and Mass Transfer. She is knight in the French National Order of Merit.
Her research interests include vascularized materials, electronic cooling, urban design, porous media, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer. She is the European leader in Constructal theory and design. As such she develops research programs in thermal engineering ranging from passive thermal designs at urban scale to new bio-based materials.
Sylvie Lorente is the author of 6 books, 9 book chapters and 169 peer-reviewed articles. Her h-index is 30 on the Web of Science and 39 on Google Scholar. She received all her degrees
from the University of Toulouse, INSA: B.S. (1992), M.S. (1992) and Ph.D. (1996).

Dr. Adrian Bejan
Professor Bejan's research covers a wide range of topics in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, convection and porous media. More recently, he developed the constructal law of organization and evolution in nature.
Professor Bejan is ranked since 2001 among the 100 most highly cited authors worldwide in engineering (all fields, all countries), the Institute for Scientific Information. Professor Bejan has received 18 honorary doctorates from universities in 11 countries.
Adrian Bejan is the author of 28 books and over 600 peer-referred articles. His h-index is 55 on the Web of Science.

Dr. Luiz Rocha
Luiz Alberto Oliveira Rocha is Associate Professor at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering (1991), master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1995) and Ph.D. at Duke University, USA (2002). His engineering research fields are Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer, especially the topics geometric optimization, renewable energy and Constructal Theory.

Dr. Jaime Cervantes
Jaime Cervantes received BSME, MSME from National University of Mexico
in 1970, 1972 and PhD from Purdue University in 1976. His research focuses
on fluid mechanics and heat transfer, and he has authored over 125 publications
including five textbooks. He is a Distinguished Professor and received the 2002
‘Universidad Nacional’ Award as the Best Teacher in exact sciences. He is a
member of the Mexican Academy of Engineering, the Mexican Academy of
Sciences and the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer. He is a
Fellow of ASME.

Dr. Carlos Escobar del Pozo
Carlos Escobar del Pozo obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico(UNAM) in 2008. His PhD studies were in blood flow in capillaries. He also obtained a Master Degree of Engineering (2004) by the same faculty at UNAM. His research involves mathematical modelling of transport phenomena in biomechanical applications in particular aqueous humor flow in the eye and blood flow as well as thermal behaviour of buildings.
Dr. Enrique Guzmán Vázquez
He is a Mechanical-Electrical Engineer by Monterrey Tech and has a Doctor of Engineering degree in Thermal Sciences by UNAM. He carried a postdoc program in multiphase flows and rheology at UNAM, plus another postdoc in vortex dynamics and turbulence also at UNAM. His areas of interest are multiphase flows in transport systems, heat transfer, fluid mechanics applied to industrial systems and energy systems and fluid dynamics fundamentals.
Dr. Carlos Viniegra Beltrán
Carlos Viniegra has degrees on Economy by the UAM and an EMBA by IPADE. He is an international consultant and author of essays and papers on technology, government innovation, public policies and the science of complexity. He has held administrative positions in the government offices of the Secretary of Energy, SAGARPA, SEMARNAT and the Secretary of Public Function.

Dr. Juan M. Zamora-Mata
Juan M. Zamora-Mata is Professor at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa (UAM-I). He obtained a B.S. degree in Energy Engineering (1985), and a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering (1990) from UAM-I, achieving in both cases the medal for University Merit. Prof. Zamora carried out studies on process optimization (1991) at SOGESTA Training and Research Center, in Urbino, Italia. He received a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering (1997) from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA, U.S.A.
As of December 2016, Juan M. Zamora-Mata has published 30 peer-reviewed papers that sum up approximately 400 citations. He has been mentor and thesis advisor of 30 undergraduate and 13 graduate students. His research interests include the synthesis and optimization of heat exchanger networks, the synthesis and optimization of water and distributed wastewater treatment networks, design and optimization of heat transfer equipment, development of mathematical programming models, and local and global optimization techniques.
